Alexis Rochas' AIR FOUNDATIONS


We had to build at 1:1 scale of whatever we proposed could be used to resist gravity. I would post more images of this so as to help us understand this curved truss system that is made rigid by twisting it onto itself. The funny thing is that this flying machine of mine got stolen. Yes all 24 feet in wing span. What a back handed compliment. Such a rewarding loss. Sigh...

Fluid Light


This was first designed in MAYA, then milled in foam and then vacuum formed. Christmas lights were then placed inside of it across its entire length. It is about 8'-0" x 1'-0" x 0'-6" in dimension. I wonder what my lighting designer wife has to say about this. Hmmmm....
