I love this first painting that you did. You should definately give yourself more credit, and its has been a great inspiration to me by seeing your determination in always venturing out new things and constantly improving yourself.

Furthermore, this painting that you have done, and although you did not win and was complaining about it for a while... it reads a certain depth, by using your eyes and reading into each raw detail you have drawn, it allows my mind to wander, and think about it the way you envision it to be.

Anyway, sweet blog. I am glad there have been some new add-ons. Thank you HANN, for teaching uncle LIM on how to do BLOG. You got him addicted!!!!

Nice contrasting shapes between the sharp and angular on the left and the more amorphous ones on the right. I always enjoy environments that show humans dwarfed against it. Having been production manager for 2 years for the concept art books of Design Studio Press, I can say that Jawn has made some great progess in the short time he has been pursuing this new interest.

To Syl:

No problems. I couldn't help it, he'd evict me otherwise!! :P

To Jawn:

Indeed it's a great painting. I think God has given you a great gift. And that great gift is... the Wacom tablet!!

HAHAHAHA I kid, I kid. He's given you great talent, and given some practice, you'll win back-to-back Gnomon competitions in no time!

There's something highly tectonic (pardon the architectural nomenclature!) about the leaves, the trees, even the overall colour scheme. Nice.

Hey!

I was in Michael MacPhail's class when you came in yesterday, and I was awed by your work. I googled you and, thankfully, you have a blog, so I'm stealing this image and using it for my new desktop background. Hope you don't mind!

You've inspired me to dig out my old Wacom tablet and get back into making stuff up in Photoshop. Thanks!
